Food critic Opeyemi Famakin has stirred controversy after alleging that he received a threatening message from popular nightlife figure Cubana Chief Priest following a review of his restaurant in Imo State.
He visited the establishment and shared a video detailing both the positive and negative aspects of his experience.
Initially, Cubana Chief Priest appeared to respond positively to Opeyemi’s visit, commenting publicly.
“Thank you for stopping by, Foodie. Stay blessed G.”
However, the tone shifted when Opeyemi claimsed he received a private message from Cubana Chief Priest that he interpreted as a threat.
The message reportedly stated:
“Karma is real and you must pay for whatsoever you sow in life. I don’t fight low lives; I leave them to Karma.”
It was further revealed that the restaurant is owned by Cubana Chief Priest’s young son.
In response to the perceived threat, Opeyemi expressed that he no longer feels safe in Imo State and plans to leave.
He also warned his followers to know who to hold responsible if anything were to happen to him.
