Nigerian Afrobeats superstar, Davido Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, introduced himself as the “King of Nigeria” during a recent encounter in France with a fan claiming to be a Saudi Arabian Prince.
In a video shared on social media on Thursday, the singer was seen strolling the streets of Paris when he met the fan, who enthusiastically introduced himself as a Prince from Saudi Arabia. Davido responded by humorously declaring himself the “King of Nigeria,” before posing for a photo with the fan.
This latest self-proclaimed title adds to Davido’s growing list of monikers, which include “OBO” (Omo Baba Olowo), a nod to his 2012 hit Dami Duro, as well as “Baddest” and “001.”
The titles reflect his prominent position in the global Afrobeats scene, where he has become a household name and a leading figure in African music.
Davido continues to make waves internationally with his bold personality and chart-topping hits, solidifying his legacy as one of Afrobeats’ biggest icons.
