The Kaduna State Command of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has warned bandits and criminal elements operating within the state to repent or face severe consequences.
The new Commandant of the NSCDC, Kaduna Command, Mr. Nuhu Muhammad, issued the warning on Friday during a visit by the acting Zonal Commander of NSCDC Zone B, Kaduna, Mr. Amos Abiodun.
Muhammad said those responsible for disturbing the peace and stability of the state must abandon their criminal activities and become law-abiding citizens, or be prepared to face the full weight of the law.
โThe NSCDCโs mandate as a security agency is clearโour duty is to protect lives, property, and critical national assets and infrastructure,โ Muhammad stated.
He reassured residents that the command under his leadership would pursue these responsibilities with vigor, ensuring the safety of the state.
The commandant further appealed to residents across the state to collaborate with the corps and other security agencies by providing timely information on suspected criminals in their communities.
He stressed that such cooperation was vital for maintaining law and order.
โWe urge the people of Kaduna to go to bed and sleep with their two eyes closed. NSCDC personnel have been deployed to every nook and cranny of the state to guard against enemy attacks,โ he added.
He reaffirmed the corpsโ commitment to safeguarding lives and property, while calling on criminals to seize the opportunity to repent and embrace peace.
