VICTOR Osimhen made his second assist in as many matches for Galatasaray, helping them cruise past fierce rivals Fenerbahce 3-1 in the Turkish Super Lig Derby tonight.
The Super Eagles striker featured for the full game like he did on his Galatasaray debut last weekend, but he is yet to score for the Turkish giants.
Tonight, the 25-year-old Osimhem provided the assist for Galatasaray’s second goal in the 28th minute.
The reigning African Player of the Year set up his former Napoli teammate, Dries Mertens, who put Galatasaray two goals up in the feisty encounter.
Gabriel Sara made it 3-0 to the visitors to put the game beyond Jose Mourinho’s side, before former Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko scored a consolation goal for Fenerbahce in the 63rd minute with a penalty.
Champions Galatasaray have now opened a five-point gap at the top of the table after six matches in the league.
Meanwhile, Bright Osayi-Samuel was not in the matchday squad for Fenerbahce.
The Super Eagles full-back returned to training during the week after a month out with an injury.
