The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has donated relief items to Borno flood victims.
The state-owned oil firm made the gesture through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) arm, NNPC Foundation.
NNPC disclosed this in a statement released by its Chief Corporate Communications Officer, Olufemi Soneye.
According to Soneye, the relief were sent during a condolence visit paid to the Borno State Government on Tuesday.
โThe Group Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Mele Kyari, represented by the Executive Vice President, Business Services, Mr. Danladi Inuwa conveyed the companyโs heartfelt message to the government and people of the state over the disaster.
โMaterials provided to the affected communities during the visit include essential supplies such as food, toiletries, beddings and other household items,โ NNPCL said.
Recall that Kyari and the Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Prof. Ali Pate, visited the state at the peak of the flood disasterย lastย week.
