The District Superintendent of Assemblies of God Church, Rev Emeka Eze has called on Nigerians to utilize their gifts and become economically productive if they desire to be successful.
The clergyman also warned that securing a US or UK visa is no guarantee for success.
He said these on Sunday in a message titled โPathway to Success.โ The clergy was addressing the need for Nigerians to be productive.
Rev. Eze said, โYour ability to utilize your gift and resourcefulness will determine how prominent you will become. What is your gift, capacity and what can you do? These are the keys to your success here on earth.
โA man that wants to succeed anywhere must identify his gifts that can sell to his generation.โ
Rev. Eze admonished Nigerians to identify their gifts and become productive.
The clergy explained that after faith, what determines success is a manโs potential.
According to him, the reason many Nigerians suffer is because โThey are born again but they are not careful to discover what they can do.โ
Rev. Eze said when people utilise their gifts, it also has impact on the economy of the nation.
Speaking on the mass exodus of Nigerians outside the country, popularly known as โJapa Syndrome,โ Rev. Emeka said some of those who travelled may end up as โdish washersโ.
โMany people leave their country because they feel their success is in the UK or the US. Find your appointed place. Many people are in a particular discipline because they heardย some people are doing the same and succeeding,โ Emeka said.
Rev Emeka said many Nigerians are in the wrong career while some are in the wrong places.
โThe only way the world can hear you is when you are in your place of destiny,โ he added.
