Soludo Flags Off STEM Education, Distributes Laboratory Equipment To Schools

The Anambra State Governor, Charles Soludo has commenced the first batch distribution of science laboratory equipments to public secondary schools across the state.

The governor also flagged Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics, (STEM) education in the state.

The event held at Capital City Secondary School in Awka showcased the various science laboratory equipment acquired by the governor, which are intended for distribution to the first sixty schools included in the initial phase of the project.

The governor, represented at the event by his Deputy, Onyekachukwu Ibezim, emphasized the transition to a digital world, highlighting that digitalization is fundamentally linked to science and technology which prompted the government to intervene in the science section of secondary schools.

He assured that the governmentโ€™s initiative will continue until all public secondary schools in the state are adequately equipped with essential science laboratory equipment, thereby ensuring quality education for science students.

He encouraged teachers at the benefiting schools to make an effort to utilize the equipment effectively, while also providing science students with the necessary scientific knowledge to excel in the field of science.
