PRESIDENT Bola Tinubu has revealed his intention to reorganize his cabinet.

The Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, confirmed this today to journalists at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

He emphasized that, despite some perceptions, the current administration has achieved significant milestones in its efforts to transform the economy, many of which the public is not aware of.

Onanuga mentioned that Tinubu has instructed his ministers to actively engage with the public by promoting their respective ministries’ initiatives.

He stated, “I don’t have a specific timeline. The President has expressed a desire to reshuffle his cabinet and will proceed with it. I can’t say whether he intends to do it before October 1, but it will certainly happen.”

Further explaining the rationale behind Tinubu’s decision, O’tega Ogra, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Digital Strategy Engagement and Communications, stated that it is based on empirical evidence.

Ogra noted that during a retreat held for ministers shortly after their inauguration in August 2023, Tinubu made it clear that there would be regular performance reviews, which would inform the President’s decisions.
