Air Peace Assures Uninterrupted Operations Amid Legal Proceedings Involving CEO

Air Peace has issued a statement reassuring the public that ongoing legal proceedings involving its CEO, Allen Onyema, and Chief of Administration and Finance, Ejiroghene Eghagha, will not disrupt the airlineโ€™s daily operations.

The assurance comes amidst allegations brought forth by the United States Department of Justice regarding alleged false document submissions and obstruction of federal investigation.

In the statement released on Sunday via the airlineโ€™s official channels, Air Peace emphasized the innocence of both executives, stating that the charges remain allegations yet to be proven in court. The airline affirmed its confidence in due process and expressed belief that Onyema and Eghagha will be exonerated.

โ€œWhile the charges have been expanded, it is essential to emphasize that both Dr. Onyema and Mrs. Eghagha remain innocent, and these are mere allegations. The legal team is vigorously defending their interests, and we are confident that through due process, the truth will prevail,โ€ the statement read.

Air Peace further assured the public that the legal proceedings will not impact the safety, reliability, or day-to-day operations of the airline. The management reiterated their commitment to maintaining operational excellence and serving customers without interruption.

The U.S. Attorneyโ€™s Office for the Northern District of Georgia has accused Onyema and Eghagha of submitting false documents in an attempt to obstruct a federal investigation.

The case has been ongoing since 2019, drawing attention due to its implications on the leadership of one of Nigeriaโ€™s prominent airlines.
