The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced the postponement of its congresses in Rivers State.
The National Publicity Secretary of the party, Felix Morka, in a statement on Tuesday, said the new dates for the congresses will be announced later.
The congresses were initially scheduled to take place on October 26, November 2nd, and November 9, 2024, for the ward, local government, and state congresses, respectively.
The reasons for the postponement were not disclosed, and members of the party were advised to await further communication from the party’s leadership.
The terse statement read, “The All Progressives Congress (APC) Rivers State Chapter’s elective congresses earlier scheduled for 26th October, 2024 (Ward Congress), 2nd November, 2024 (LGA Congress) and 9th November, 2024 (State Congress), have been postponed.
“New dates for the Congresses will be announced in due course.”
