BREAKING: APC suspends Aregbesola over alleged anti-party activities

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State has suspended former Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, due to alleged anti-party activities.

In a resolution submitted to the APC National Secretariat and addressed to National Chairman Dr. Umar Ganduje, the Osun APC accused Aregbesola, who previously served as the stateโ€™s governor, of creating divisions within the party by forming a splinter faction.

This alleged action is viewed as detrimental to the partyโ€™s cohesion and unity, particularly during a crucial period in Osun politics.

The APC in Osun asserts that Aregbesolaโ€™s actions have exacerbated internal divisions, with party leaders claiming that his influence over certain groups has led to significant discord.

This suspension represents a decisive step by the state chapter of the party to address perceived disloyalty and realign its leadership in preparation for upcoming elections. Further responses from Aregbesolaโ€™s camp are anticipated as the situation develops.
