A CROSS-continental poetry event will be on stage on Saturday, October 26 at the Glover Memorial Hall, the centenarian historical hall located on Custom Street in the central business district of Lagos Island.
Featuring in the lineup of what the producer, Aduke Gomez, the poet-literary activist, described as “an afternoon of poetry and spoken word with a community of artists from across the city,” are: Dagogo Hart, a Nigerian-Irish poet, Julliet Nnaji, Aremo Gemini, Saheed Sunday, Classic Mike, thatPoetClem, and lots more.
Starting at 3 pm, the event will have special guest appearance by the master of spoken word performances, Sage Has.son.
Tagged a community showcase, “The People and Poetry” comes up on the bill of the 2024 Lagos International Poetry Festival, LIPFest, founded and directed by Efe Paul, the renowned international spoken wordist and storyteller.
The producer of the event, Ms Gomez, writes: “Join us for an afternoon of activities including Sip n’ Paint, live performances, and a chance to win N100,000 at the Open Mic!”
