Social media activist Martins Ortse, widely recognized as VeryDarkMan, claimed on the 21st of October, 2024, that well-known crossdresser Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, has been taken into custody by security forces.
According to VeryDarkMan, Bobrisky was apprehended at the Seme border while allegedly trying to flee to the Benin Republic to avoid an investigative hearing by the House of Representatives.
In a video shared via his Instagram handle VDM said: “Bobrisky has been arrested this morning at Seme border while trying to enter BENIN REPUBLIC to escape the current investigation by the house of reps, he is allegedly being held by the Nigeria immigration”.
Recall that VDM recently published an audio recording featuring Bobrisky, in which he purportedly confessed to bribing EFCC officials with N15 million.
In the recording, he also asserted that he avoided serving his six-month sentence at Kirikiri prison thanks to the influence of his godfather.
This disclosure prompted an investigative hearing by the House of Representatives; however, Bobrisky did not attend the committee session, citing illness as the reason for his absence.
