The Imo State government has refuted claims suggesting that the federal government has set up an Internally Displaced Persons camp in the Ehime Mbano local government area of the state.
The government clarified that the construction at Nsu is intended to serve as a training facility specifically for skills acquisition programmes aimed at the residents of the South East, rather than for individuals from other regions of Nigeria.
According to the Commissioner for Information, Public Orientation and Strategy, Hon Declan Emelumba who disclosed this in Owerri, the enemies of Nigeria decided to distort a piece of harmless information from the National Refugees Commission to pitch Igbos against other parts of the country.
He stated that the source of the disinformation is a well-known propagandist who has repeatedly disseminated seditious content from his notorious โhate speech gospel ministryโ in an attempt to incite unrest within the nation.
The recent actions of the indivisible who made the post according to Emelumba is an attempt to provoke the Igbo people against the Northerners, intending to render the country ungovernable for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
He said: โ This is a man who is notorious for churning out hate speeches, founded on stark ignorance of public politics and current affairs, against Northerners.
โHe deliberated twisted the news from the Refugees commission to incite Ndigbo against other Nigerians.โ
