Towards exploring the theme of this year’s LABAF @26 – “BREAKOUT: Hope is a stubborn thing,” Poets in Nigeria Initiative, (PIN) is pleased to receive poems from poets willing to physically read or perform their poems at the famous Lagos Books & Arts Festival (LABAF)
POETS In Nigeria Initiative, PIN, has issued a call on poets to submit entries for its PIN ArtHub@LABAF 2024 project which would be staged in the course of the 26th Lagos Book & Art Festival, holding November 11-17 at te Freedom Park, Lagos.
A statement from Eriata Oribhabor, convener of the PIN Initiative, reads:
“Towards exploring the theme of this year’s LABAF @26 – “BREAKOUT: Hope is a stubborn thing,” Poets in Nigeria Initiative, (PIN) is pleased to receive poems from poets willing to physically read or perform their poems at the famous Lagos Books & Arts Festival (LABAF).
The Night of Poetry, which has become a regular contribution of the PIN to the LABAF programming content in past few years, will hold as follow:
Date: 12th of November, 2024
Venue: Freedom Park, Lagos
Time: 5 pm
The PIN Convener’s statement continues:
“As you poetically explore the theme, think about the stage and the theatrics of poetry. It’s a Soyinka Year.
Guidelines:
– Freshly written Poems should address the theme – BREAKOUT: Hope is a stubborn thing.
– Only poets with intention to physically participate in the festival should submit their poems
– No limitations to lines of poems
– Selected poets would be featured on a special festival brochure
– Submissions should carry Name, Gender, Location, Brief bio, and Telephone no (s).

15th – 25th October, 2024
