The Anambra State Police Command said it has rescued six Kidnapped journalists travelling to Uyo, Akwa Ibom State capital.
According to the Commands Spokesperson, Tochukwu Ikenga, the media crew about seven of them were travelling from Lagos to Uyo but were Kidnapped along the Isseke-Orlu Road in Ihiala on Wednesday.
The media crew are believed to be travelling to Uyo to cover the Super Eagles game with the Mediterranean Knights Of Libya on Friday.
Ikenga said that Joint Security Forces successfully rescued six members of the media team and efforts are on top gear to secure the freedom of the seventh crew member.
He said: โJoint security forces have successfully rescued six members of the media crew who were abducted while travelling from Lagos to Uyo along the Isseke-Orlu Road in Ihiala.
โMeanwhile, operations are still ongoing for the possible rescue of the seventh crew member.โ
