Over the weekend, the synergy between music and gaming was strengthened further at an event in Lagos put together by Spotify and Gamr.

The two organisations teamed up to celebrate the vibrant gaming and music culture at the state-of-the-art Carven arena, located in the heart of Landmark Centre.

It was more than just a gathering, it provided an avenue for lovers of music and gaming to come together under a roof to have fun, leaving a lasting impression.

As a symbol of Nigeria and Africaโ€™s thriving gaming culture, Carven proved to be the perfect venue for this groundbreaking event.

The day commenced with an explosive set by DJ Ace, setting the tone for a historic gaming experience and all-day party. DJ Titanium and KennyGee followed, keeping the energy high with a diverse soundtrack that resonated with the crowd.

Qing Madi, a Spotify EQUAL Africa artist, took the event to the next level with a captivating performance, blending soulful melodies with the gaming ambience.

The evening was wrapped up with a showstopping performance by rising star Ayo Maff, whose hit songs had the crowd singing along, creating an unforgettable dance party that merged the worlds of music and gaming.

Dynamic duo Big Bimi and Olori Oyin hosted the event, electrifying the crowd with their infectious charisma. Additionally, gaming personalities like StephKaly, Khalamanja, and Naomi mingled with fans, sharing their passion for gaming through friendly matches.

It was learned that several Nigerian media personalities, influencers and gaming enthusiasts were in attendance and immersed themselves in an extensive collection of console games, from the classic Mortal Kombat to the latest releases such as EAFC 25, Gran Turismo, and NBA 2K25.
