SUPER EAGLES striker Victor Boniface has revealed that he survived a car accident last night.
The Nigeria international scored for his club Bayer Leverkusen in their 2-1 German Bundesliga victory yesterday over Eintracht Frankfurt but the night could have ended differently.
The 23-year-old shared on Instagram a short video of a wrecked car, apparently the one he was travelling in, and captioned it โGod is the greatestโ.
Boniface then shared a picture of himself in hospital, writing on it โNa so una for hear say my enemy don dieโ in his usual cheeky online manner.
โThank you, Lord,โ he added. He also shared a picture of his blood-soaked hand.
On X, he wrote โGod is the greatestโ again on Sunday.
Incidentally, Boniface was part of the Super Eagles squad that were held hostage by Libyan authorities just seven days ago.
They were in the North African country for an Africa Cup of Nations qualifier but their plane was diverted mid-air, with no regard for their safety, and kept at an abandoned airport for over 18 hours without food or water.
