War: UN Sec Gen, Guterres banned from entering Israel

The United Nations, UN, Secretary General, Antonio Guterres has been declared a persona non-grata and banned from entering Israel following the latest attacks from Iran.

Israelโ€™s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Israel Katz made the declaration over Guterresโ€™ silence on Iranโ€™s latest attack on Israel.

On Tuesday, Iran launched over 180 ballistic missiles into Israel.

The Israeli military said it received no reports of injuries from the Iranian missile attack.

However, posting on X, Katz wrote: โ€œToday, I have declared UN Secretary-General @antonioguterres persona non grata in Israel and banned him from entering the country.

โ€œAnyone who cannot unequivocally condemn Iranโ€™s heinous attack on Israel, as almost every country in the world has done, does not deserve to step foot on Israeli soil.

โ€œThis is a Secretary-General who has yet to denounce the massacre and sexual atrocities committed by Hamas murderers on October 7, nor has he led any efforts to declare them a terrorist organization.

โ€œA Secretary-General who gives backing to terrorists, rapists, and murderers from Hamas, Hezbollah, the Houthis, and now Iranโ€”the mothership of global terrorโ€”will be remembered as a stain on the history of the UN.

โ€œIsrael will continue to defend its citizens and uphold its national dignity, with or without Antรณnio Guterres.โ€
