Well of Science, a sustainable driven company with the support of Access Bank, proudly flagged off the Green Club in Akwa-Ibom State Polytechnic,Ikot Osurua.
As part of the launch, the school received waste receptacles and tree seedlings aimed at promoting environmental awareness and action among students.
The receptacle were graciously received by Mrs. Akon on behalf of the Polytechnic.
The Green Club for Schools initiative empowers students to lead sustainability efforts, addressing pressing environmental issues like waste management and climate change.
Through activities like tree planting, waste management education, and conservation projects, the club is designed to foster a culture of environmental stewardship.
The event was attended by Green Club members, students of the Polytechnic, and key representatives from Well of Science. Mr. Iniobong, Coordinator of Green Club AkwaPoly; Mr. Ubong Plastic, Project Manager for Green Clubs for Schools; and Mr. Martins Ime, Project Manager and Green Clubs Lead for Secondary Schools, shared insights into the vision and impact of the Green Club project, emphasizing the importance of sustainable practices in the school environment.
