Abia Rep Empowers Constituents With Cars, Hair Dryers, Others

The member representing Isuikwuato/Umunneochi Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives Hon. Amobi Ogah has distributed empowerment items, including sewing machines, grinding machines, Cars, Mini bus, Tricycles, Motorcycles, Hair dryers, Mowing Machines, bags of rice, fertilizers and Generators to his constituents in commemoration of his one year in office.

Speaking at the ceremony, which took place in Onuaku Central School Uturu on Saturday, Ogah said he will constantly improve the lives of his constituents through quality representation and empowerment opportunities.

The lawmaker revealed that he will continue to keep to his social contract with his
has been a remarkable since he assumed duty at green chambers.

He said, โ€œWhen I assumed office, I swear to myself that I must make a mark on the sound of times.

โ€œThe history of prosperity, the template of service delivery and service to humanity and mankind is the yard stick that I won my mandate to provide service to the teaming people of Isuikwuato Umunneochi and Abia State in general.

โ€œIโ€™m trying to provide a credible leadership and be a beckon of hope and service delivery to my constituents.

โ€œPermit me to remind you that the primary role of a law maker is make laws for good governance of our country and therefore whatever expectations our people have of us should be predicated on this perspective.

He said as a parliamentarians he do not have all the resources to meet all the needs of his people, nothing that all these achievements is as a result of constant lobbying of the Federal Government to pay attention to the needs of his people and his personal resources were channel to meet the immediate needs and challenges of his people.

โ€œOver the past 15 months and keeping to my promise to bring home the dividends of democracy to our people, I have been able to empower my people with ground breaking developmental projects among which are the restoration of security of lives and property.

โ€œThis was achieved when I moved my first motion on the need to stop the incessant killing and kidnapping in our constituency which culminated in the setting up of a committee to investigate the situation.

โ€œThe committee in collaboration with the state government made a recommendation for the setting up of operation crush today our people are heaving a sign of relief.

โ€œIn the area of infrastructure development we have completed the Ukwunwangwu daily market with solar powered electricity, thus making it arguably the largest open market in the entire Abia North Senatorial district.

โ€œIn 2024 we opened up an access road to the Ulonna North farm settlement to make the movement of farm produces from the market easy.

โ€œFurther more we have concluded arrangements for the construction of roads in different parts of the constituency to be flagged off in few days.

โ€œWe also sunk solar powered boreholes in the five zones of our constituency. Namely Uturu, Isuikwuato, Isuochi, Umuchieze, Nneato to ease the burden associated with lack of water in our constituency.

โ€œWe are also making serious efforts to light up every part of our constituency with solar powered street light.

โ€œIt is also in the same vein that we lite up the premises of Absu International secondary School to ensure a conducive learning environment for students.

โ€œWe are also including the Absu environment and other parts of the constituency .

โ€œIn the area of health we have renovated and upgraded the abandoned Isuikwuato general hospital with solar powered electricity to ensure 24 hours light in the hospital and provided with medical equipment which will be supplied in few days.

โ€œWe have also secured approval for the conversion of the abandoned Achara general hospital to armest the Federal Medical Centre Umuahia.

โ€œWe are also in process of completing mother and child hospital in mbalano as well as the construction of an ultra modern hospital in Laokpa for our constituents in Umunneochi local government.

โ€œIn Agriculture we secured and distributed super gene palm seedlings to farmers in our constituency.

โ€œIn education I have awarded 22 all expensive paid scholarship to our youths studying in various institutions and Abia State College of Health Aba.

โ€œWe also added 6 all expenses paid scholarship distributed to the 22 wards in our constituency under my Foundation.

โ€œWe have also commenced the construction of six class rooms in Nneato and Onuaku Uturu Isuikwuato.

โ€œWe also paid exams fees for indigents students in our constituency. This was done with the sole aim of giving them a bright future and provide a platform for youths to achieve their dreams.

โ€œWe have done enough to improve the health care needs of our people. As the chairman of the House Committee on HiV Adis, tuberculosis and Malaria and by special grace of as the president of all parliamentarian in Africa.โ€
