The Federal Ministry of Education has issued a directive reinstating Professor Innocent O. Ujah, mni, OON, NPOM, as the Pioneer Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Health Sciences, Otukpo (FUHSO).
In a letter dated November 1, 2024, the Ministry challenged the Governing Council’s decision to suspend Professor Ujah, citing improper procedural grounds. The Ministry emphasized that Professor Ujah’s suspension was conducted without due process and noted that his term is nearing its expiration.
The directive mandates the Governing Council to immediately restore Professor Ujah to his position, ensuring stability within the institution, which serves as a major educational establishment in Benue South.
