Nigerian Afrobeats artist, Oladipo Daniel, also known as D’banj, is set to perform at the African Military Games Abuja (AMGA) 2024 scheduled to commence on Wednesday.
The Defence Headquarters on Tuesday disclosed that the music artist and his team would arrive in Abuja on Tuesday ahead of the opening ceremony on Wednesday.
The statement signed by Group Captain, Chris Erondu, on Tuesday, noted that his performance at the opening ceremony is aimed at thrilling visiting African Military delegates at the games.
“Abuja residents are by this information reminded and encouraged to en masse attend the AMGA opening ceremony and subsequent events lined up for the games,” the military noted.
Nigeria is set to host the 2nd edition of the AMGA 2024, code-named “AMGA Abuja 2024”, from November 18 -30, reinforcing its leadership position as the hub of military operations in Africa.
The country is hosting the games after a 22-year hiatus. The organisers said this reflects its growing role in fostering African partnership and stability.
