Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, on Sunday, honored the 18th anniversary celebration of Omega Power Ministries (OPM) Worldwide alongside the 51st birthday of the church’s General Overseer, Apostle Chibuzor Gift Chinyere.
The occasion, held at OPM’s headquarters, Doctor Jesus City in Mbodo, Aluu near Port Harcourt, witnessed a large gathering of notable personalities and faithful who joined the church in marking its milestone anniversary and honoring the esteemed pastor.
In his remarks at the event, Governor Fubara announced a generous donation of N200 million to bolster the church’s ongoing infrastructure projects, emphasizing his commitment to supporting the church’s mission.
He further pledged his administration’s continued support in strengthening the church’s efforts toward community development and spiritual upliftment.
Governor Fubara also participated in a ceremonial cake-cutting alongside Apostle Chinyere, symbolizing the church’s anniversary and the General Overseer’s birthday.
The high-profile celebration saw attendance from dignitaries, including Dame Patience Goodluck Jonathan, wife of Nigeria’s former President; former Senate President and PDP Board of Trustees Chairman, Senator Adolphus Wabara; and House of Representatives members Hon. Awaji-Inombek Abiante and Hon. Anderson Igbiks.
Other prominent attendees included members of the Rivers State Executive Council, local government chairpersons, and various political leaders, all joining in the jubilant celebration of OPM’s impact and growth over the past 18 years.
As OPM continues its work of faith and humanitarian outreach, Governor Fubara’s donation stands as a significant endorsement of the church’s mission and achievements in Rivers State.
