Taraba State Governor, Agbu Kefas, is committed to the overall growth and development of the state, judging by the direction of the 2025 budget estimates, his Special Adviser (Media and Digital Communications), Emmanuel Bello, has said.
According to him, with the budget, it is clear that Taraba State is on the threshold of history.
Bello, who was reacting to provisions of next yearโs budget, told journalists that the submission shows that Governor Kefas is committed to the effective implementation of all his policies, especially on free education, job creation and security.
He said, โA budget is one of the measures of an administrationโs focus and line of thinking. You can easily tell the mindset of the leader by looking at how seriously the road map of a budget looks. If you care to take a hard look at the 2025 budget, you will agree with me that we have a Governor who is serious about good governance. The budget is plain and simple. It is a statement of renewed energy and a brilliant recipe for monumental transformation.โ
Bello commended his boss for prioritizing the education sector in next yearโs budget.
He said, โIโm particularly delighted that Governor Kefas has remained resolute in the provisions of free education. Right from the campaigns, the Governor has not faltered from talking about education. He believes that an educated citizenry is one that is truly liberated and empowered.
โThat is why free and compulsory education has become the cornerstone of the administration. Next year is bound to see more transformation in that sector to bring about the necessary and desired outcomes.โ
Bello said that job creation and security matters are top priority issues next year.
He said, โThe security of lives and properties has always been a major agenda of Governor Agbu Kefas. As a military man himself, this is an area he holds very dear. And now that he is a democratically elected leader, he has made this one of his many challenges. Taraba State, in the last year, has experienced increased safety. This budget shows the administration would spend more next year to continue to address other emerging challenges of security.
โWith security comes more opportunities for investments and job creation. Agriculture will also blossom in that atmosphere. This is why everyone is excited at the bigger prospect of the new budget.โ
