In a major shake-up within the Edo State Public Service, Governor Monday Okpebholo has approved the dissolution of the Executives of all Boards, Agencies, and Parastatals with immediate effect.
This decision, according to a press statement released by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Fred Itua, is part of a comprehensive restructuring aimed at enhancing governance and accountability in the state.
The statement also announced the termination of all appointments for Permanent Secretaries who were recruited from outside the State Public/Civil Service, alongside the dismissal of all other political appointees.
“All affected appointees are to hand over all government properties in their possession to the most senior Public Officer in their respective Ministries, Departments, and Agencies,” the statement specified.
This directive underscores the state government’s commitment to maintaining an orderly transition and ensuring that all public resources remain within authorized custody during this transitional phase.
