A chilling incident has shaken the Diobu community in Port Harcourt, as a 65-year-old man, Monday Reuben, was brutally stabbed by his neighbor, Nnana, in his early 30s.
The shocking attack occurred at 37 Okwelle Street, Mile 2 Diobu, where Reuben serves as the caretaker.
Eyewitnesses report that Nnana accused Reuben of witchcraft before committing the heinous crime.
According to sources, Nnana fled the scene immediately after the attack, leaving Reuben with severe injuries to the neck and head.
Reuben, a native of Akwa Ibom State, recounted the horrific events to our reporter. “Nnana accused me of witchcraft and stabbed me multiple times. I didn’t know what prompted the attack.”
Rueben said: “I am caretaker of 37 Okwelle Street,Mile 2 Diobu. Nnana stab me.When I call him oboy they want to pack sand,shift one side.
“He said why did I call him,that I dont know I am a witch,that he carry me in Mind .That he will kill me and run away.”
“He went to carry bottle and break, he came and stab me.He stab on the neck yesterday night.
“This earlier morning he batched into my house and stabbed me on the head.
“I am from Akwa/Ibom,65years old.I want the Police and security to arrest him and ask him what I did.
“I have reported to Azikiwe Police Division”.
Mr Reuben demanded justice on the matter.
NewsNGR learned that, Reuben was taken to an undisclosed hospital after he was issued medical report form by the Azikiwe Police Division.
The spokesperson for the Rivers State Police Command,SP Grace Iringe Koko is yet to respond to enquiry on the incident.
