Manchester United star Casemiro gives his verdict on Ruben Amorim’s first training session in charge

Ruben Amorim has officially commenced his managerial stint at Manchester United, leading his first training session at Carrington on Monday, Soccernet.football reports.

The Portuguese tactician, known for his dynamic approach, takes over a team languishing in 13th place in the Premier League, with only four wins from their first 11 matches.

Appointed during the international break after Erik ten Hag’s departure, Amorim faces the challenge of reviving United’s faltering season.

Despite still awaiting visa clearance, the 39-year-old wasted no time implementing his methods, with several international players returning early to impress their new manager.

Amorim has already acknowledged the task ahead, admitting it will “take time to get his ideas across” to the squad.

However, the early feedback has been promising. Brazilian midfielder Casemiro shared a positive reaction on social media, posting a photo from training with the caption, “Top training.”

United’s first test under Amorim comes on Sunday, November 24, when they visit Ipswich Town at Portman Road. A victory would not only restore confidence but could also lift the Reds back into the top half of the table.

As Amorim instills his philosophy, the players’ buy-in will be crucial to his success. While the early signs, such as Casemiro’s enthusiasm, are encouraging, results will ultimately define his tenure.

A positive outcome this weekend would set the tone for a potentially transformative chapter at Old Trafford.
