The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has sealed the Purity Agro Chemical Center containing 724 cartons of expired patriarc agrochemicals in Gboko, Benue State.
The warehouse is being allegedly used to revalidate the expired agrochemicals for distribution, along with various unregistered products such as Kris herbicide, E-Tong Reapon 800WG, Onion Texas, Tomato Chiloli, and Hot Pepper.
The agency, in a post on X on Friday, said the facility has been secured, however, the owner of the company is currently at large, and efforts are ongoing to arrest him.
NAFDAC also called on consumers to stay alert and report any suspicious products or activities to the nearest NAFDAC office to help safeguard public safety.
