New Abia PDP Executives Inaugurated

The newly elected leadership of the Abia State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), led by Elder Amah Abraham, had officially been inaugurated.

The event which took place on Monday at the partyโ€™s state secretariat located in Ogurube Layout, Umuahia, marked the beginning of a new chapter for the Abia PDP, as they took on their roles with a renewed commitment to unity and progress.

Inaugurating the party new party executives, Barr. Ukpai Ukairo, the South East Legal Adviser of the PDP who presided over the occasion expressed confidence in the capabilities of the new leadership.

He also appreciated the newly elected excos for their dedication to the partyโ€™s ideals and emphasised the need for teamwork and collaboration to strengthen the partyโ€™s presence in the state.

โ€œI am confident that the Amah-led executive will bring renewed vigour and unity to our party in Abia State,โ€ Barr. Ukairo stated. He then administered the oath of office, formally inducting the officials into their respective roles.

Elder Abraham Amah, who emerged as the State Chairman following a highly competitive election, was joined by other key officials during the swearing-in ceremony.

The newly inaugurated executives include:

Deputy Chairman: Chief Chinyere Onuoha (Dimkpa Ugwunagbo)

Abia South Zonal Chairman: Hon. Enyinnaya Appolos

Abia Central Zonal Chairman: Hon. Patrick Onwuka

Abia North Zonal Chairman: Gabriel Elendu (Enyi Bende)

Publicity Secretary: Mr. Eric Ikwuagwu

Other members of the executive were also sworn in, signifying a comprehensive transition to a new leadership team poised to lead the party towards greater achievements.

In his acceptance speech, Elder Amah expressed gratitude to party members and stakeholders for their support and trust. He reaffirmed his commitment to uniting the party, building bridges across all factions, and working towards a stronger PDP in Abia State. Elder Amah called on all party members to join hands with the newly inaugurated leadership to drive the partyโ€™s agenda and reclaim its political dominance in the state.

โ€œWe are committed to serving the best interests of our members and the people of Abia State. Together, we will work to ensure that the PDP remains the party of choice for the electorate,โ€ elder Amah declared.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by key stakeholders, party faithful, and supporters from across the state, all of whom were urged to support the new leadership in their efforts to reposition the Abia PDP.
