NURTW: MC Oluomo’s belongings thrown out after court removed him from office

The news of Musiliu Ayinde Akinsanya, popularly known as MC Oluomo, being elected as the new President of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) went viral, drawing mixed reactions.

However, less than two weeks after his election, a court ruled for his removal.

Despite MC Oluomo’s appeal to the Court of Appeal in Abuja to affirm him as the duly elected NURTW president, the court upheld Alhaji Tajudeen Ibikunle Baruwa as the legitimate leader of the union. 18907910 img20241119132424 jpeg8f17d823922c5b6e5ea05cbd5521db7b

The court dismissed MC Oluomo’s challenge along with that of his supporters.

Following the ruling, a trending video emerged online showing several of MC Oluomo’s belongings, including numerous portraits, packed outside the NURTW office. The footage has further intensified discussions surrounding the leadership tussle within the union.
