Ondo Guber: President Tinubu’s Daughter Woos Voters For Aiyedatiwa

The Iyaloja General of Nigeria and daughter of President Bola Tinubu, Mrs Folashade Tinubu-Ojo, has urged the people of Ondo State to come out en masse on Saturday to vote for Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa.

Aiyedatiwa is the standard bearer of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the November 16 governorship election in the state.

Tinubu-Ojo spoke at Igbokoda, headquarters of Ilaje Local Government Area where she urged voters to vote for the APC candidate for his dedication to Infrastructure development.

The Iyaloja General, who commended the governor, said the policies of his administration had benefited the market community by ensuring an environment conducive to traders and small business owners.

Aiyedatiwa also received support from the community leaders and traditional rulers in the local government area.

The Amapetu of Mahinland, Oba Oluwasegun Akinyomi, spoke on behalf of all the traditional rulers in Ilaje and declared their support for the governor.

Oba Akinyomi stressed the unity among the council of Obas, expressed confidence in Aiyedatiwa’s leadership and noted that the governor was committed to bringing development to Ilaje communities.

He said: “The traditional rulers in this region have resolved to support Governor Aiyedatiwa beyond 2025. We believe in his dedication to our people and his commitment to improving infrastructure, security and economic opportunities across our communities.”

A former governorship aspirant and APC chieftain, Chief Olusola Oke, also declared support for the governor, highlighting Aiyedatiwa’s impact on the local economy and the state’s stability.

“Governor Aiyedatiwa has proven his dedication to our people,” Oke said.

An APC chieftain and community leader in Delta State, Chief Ayiri Emani, said Aiyedatiwa was the best among the contestants.

According to Emani, Governor Aiyedatiwa was responsive to the needs of the riverine communities.

He said: “Governor Aiyedatiwa has shown a genuine commitment to the progress of our coastal communities. We are here to ensure his continued leadership as governor.”

The governor, who rounded off his local government campaign tour in Ilaje, thanked the traditional rulers and community leaders for their support and pledged to continue his efforts in transforming Ilaje and Ondo State.

Aiyedatiwa assured the people of Aiyetoro that his administration was committed to reclaiming the community from the destructive impact of sea incursion.

He also assured the people that work would begin on the establishment of the deep seaport in the coming year, with plans to facilitate the construction of an airstrip near the project.

The Governor urged the people to remain confident in his administration’s resolve to bring about meaningful development to their area.

Aiyedatiwa had earlier commissioned a reconstructed 32.7km Alape-Araromi seaside road, a project of the Ondo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (OSOPADEC) in the local government area.
