Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain are set to return to the market in a bid to lure Victor Osimhen away from Napoli permanently, Soccernet.ng reports.
However, the signing of the Nigerian international may depend on RB Leipzig’s willingness to negotiate for Kolo Muani, according to reports circulating in Turkish media outlets.
The French forward, who completed a high-profile €95 million move from Eintracht Frankfurt to PSG last summer, has now reportedly emerged as a key target for Leipzig. If the Bundesliga side secures Kolo Muani, PSG is expected to intensify their efforts to bring Osimhen to Paris.
Earlier, PSG was among the top European clubs keen on securing the services of the Nigerian attacker during the 2024 summer transfer window.
However, a transfer tussle involving Napoli’s management, Osimhen’s representatives, and suitors over his release clause and salary demands derailed the deal, resulting in the striker joining Galatasaray on a season-long loan.
With January approaching, talks between PSG and Napoli are expected to gain momentum, especially if Leipzig finalises a deal for Kolo Muani. If negotiations stall between PSG and Leipzig, discussions about Muani could carry over into the summer transfer window.
PSG is anticipated to table a serious offer for Osimhen, who has been in exceptional form. Meanwhile, Galatasaray, linked to Osimhen on a potential permanent deal, remains determined to retain their star player despite increasing interest from Europe’s elite clubs.
