THE draw for the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations will be held on Friday, the Confederation of African Football has announced.

The Super Falcons of Nigeria and 11 other women’s national teams will be involved in the tournament in Morocco in 2025.

CAF said last night that the draw ceremony will be held at the Mohammed VI Technical Centre in Sale, Morocco.

The draw will start at 8pm local time (same time as Nigeria) and will be broadcast live on major channels across Africa and internationally, as well as on CAF’s digital streaming platform, CAF TV.

The 12 teams will be placed in three groups of four each, with the top two from each pool as well as the two best third-placed finishers advancing to the quarter-finals.

The 13th edition of the WAFCON will take place from July 5 to July 26, 2025 in Morocco.

South Africa are the current champions of the competition having won it in 2022, when it was also held in Morocco.

The Super Falcons are the most successful team in the tournament with nine titles, but they finished fourth in 2022.
