Actor Hudson Meek Dies After Fatal Accident in Alabama

Hudson Meek, a 16-year-old actor best known for his role in Baby Driver and for voicing the character Bada in the children’s series Badanamu Stories, tragically passed away following a fatal accident on December 19 in Vestavia Hills, Alabama.

According to the Jefferson County coroner’s office, Meek fell from a moving vehicle and sustained severe blunt force injuries.

Despite being rushed to the University of Alabama at Birmingham Hospital, he succumbed to his injuries two days later.

The Vestavia Hills Police Department has confirmed it is investigating the circumstances surrounding his death, although no official comments have been made by the department yet.

In a statement shared on Meek’s Instagram account, his family expressed their grief: “Our hearts are broken to share that Hudson Meek went home to be with Jesus tonight.

His 16 years on this earth were far too short, but he accomplished so much and left a lasting impact on everyone he met.”

The family also took comfort in knowing that Meek was an organ donor, stating, “He will continue to help others for years to come.”

His official obituary did not mention the cause or manner of death.

Meek had an impressive career despite his young age. He appeared in several TV shows, including Legacies on the CW, Genius on Hulu, and NBC’s Found.

He was also involved in other projects set to be released in 2025.

Outside of acting, Meek was a sophomore at Vestavia Hills High School, where he was a member of the football team, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and the honor choir.

His obituary described him as an adventurous and spirited individual who loved water sports, traveling, and spending time with friends.

Meek also had a passion for scuba diving, achieving his advanced open water certification at just 13 years old, and had visited all 50 U.S. states, with plans to explore all seven continents.

Meek’s family fondly remembered his vibrant personality: “Hudson was confident, spontaneous, and quick-witted.

He loved a good joke and was happiest when making others laugh.”

Meek is survived by his parents, Derek and Lani Meek, his older brother Tucker, and other extended family members.

His untimely death has left a deep void in the hearts of those who knew him and the many fans who admired his work.
