TWO students from Borno State University lost their lives yesterday in an accident involving a school bus and a trailer.
Three other students sustained critical injuries, while fifteen more are receiving medical care.
The Borno State University bus was transporting thirty students when a trailer collided with it, resulting in the immediate deaths of the two students and leaving three others in critical condition. Ten students were fortunate to have escape without injuries.
According to a statement from the university’s spokesperson, Umar Garkuwa, the injured students were promptly taken to Umaru Shehu Hospital and UMTH for treatment.
Garkuwa also mentioned that the university’s vice chancellor and the dean of student affairs are visiting the hospitals to ensure a swift response.
