Ghana’s President-Elect, John Mahama, on Monday paid a courtesy visit to President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

The visit was disclosed on Tuesday by Tinubu’s Special Assistant on Social Media, Dada Olusegun, in a post on X.com.

Olusegun wrote, “The President-Elect of Ghana, H.E John Dramani Mahama paid a courtesy visit to President Tinubu at his residence, Presidential Villa, State House yesterday.”

The visit follows President Tinubu’s earlier congratulatory message to Mahama after his victory in Ghana’s December 7 general election.

During a telephone call to Mahama, Tinubu expressed confidence that his leadership would strengthen stability within the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).

He also conveyed optimism about working closely with Mahama’s incoming administration to enhance bilateral relations across various sectors and promote a brighter future for the West African region.
