Renowned American actor and musician Jamie Foxx has shared gripping details of his harrowing experience with a brain bleed that led to a stroke.
Foxx revealed the ordeal while shedding light on the cause of his hospitalization in 2023.
In his new Netflix special, the star recounted the shocking sequence of events, beginning with a severe headache and the moment he “blacked out for 20 days.”
He disclosed that he was rushed to Piedmont Hospital, where doctors diagnosed him with a brain bleed that caused the stroke.
“It is a mystery. We still don’t know exactly what happened to me,” Foxx admitted.
The actor recalled the fateful day, April 11, 2023: “I had a bad headache and I asked my boy for an aspirin, but I realized quickly that your boys don’t know what to do when you are in a medical emergency. Before I could get the aspirin, I went out. And I do not remember 20 days.”
Foxx said he woke from the coma to find himself confined to a wheelchair, unable to walk a stark reminder of the severity of the incident.
