But Arsenal came alive in the second half, spearheaded by Jesus’ clinical finishing. The Brazilian forward netted three times in the 54th, 73rd, and 81st minutes, putting Arsenal in control at 3-1.
Crystal Palace’s Eddie Nketiah pulled one back in the 85th minute, but it was too little, too late as Arsenal held firm to seal the win.
Elsewhere, Newcastle United produced a dominant display to cruise past Brentford 3-1 and advance to the semi-finals. Their attacking prowess was on full display as they overcame the Bees with ease.
