DJ Kulet and estranged husband

Lagos Acts On DJ Kulet’s Child Abuse Allegation Against Ex-Husband

The estranged husband of Nigerian Disc Jockey, Kudirat Gbemisola, known as DJ Kulet, has been accused of being involved in a series of child molestation scandals.

DJ Kulet, on Monday, announced her separation from her husband, Ohis Emmanuel, also known as Benjamin.

In her post, the DJ disclosed that Emmanuel had a history of predatory behaviour and infidelity, which she had previously forgiven.

However, she revealed that her estranged husband recently abused a 13-year-old minor under their roof for six months.

According to her, her husband’s alleged infidelity extended beyond consensual relationships, with documented cases of child molestation and sexual exploitation of young women, including a 20-year-old cousin and her friend.

She wrote, “I, DJ KULET, am publicly disassociating myself from my ex-husband, Ohis Emmanuel (aka Benjamin), due to his egregious and reprehensible actions. Despite overwhelming evidence (including ats, photos, videos, and voice notes) of his infidelity, he has refused to change his ways. The final straw was the shocking discovery of his prolonged sexual abuse of a 13-year-old minor, which occurred under my roof for six months.”

She also revealed that during their eight-month marriage, she contracted infections three times due to Emmanuel’s alleged cheating.

A viral video that surfaced online showed Emmanuel confessing to the child molestation allegations while pleading for forgiveness. DJ Kulet maintained that her focus was on protecting victims and ensuring justice is served.

“My mission has always been to protect victims of assault and expose the perpetrators. I urge everyone to be vigilant and hold perpetrators accountable for their actions,” she stated.

Reacting to the incident, the Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency (DSVA) on Tuesday took to its X page (formerly Twitter) to condemn Emmanuel’s alleged acts of child sexual abuse.

The DSVA reiterated a zero-tolerance stance against domestic and sexual violence and urged the public to assist in bringing Emmanuel to justice.

The post read, “We appreciate everyone who brought the incident of child sexual abuse posted by @Olamide0fficial to our attention. As the Statutory Agency in Lagos State dedicated to preventing and responding to domestic and sexual violence, we take this very seriously.

“Violence in any form is unacceptable, and the Lagos State Government maintains a zero-tolerance stance against it. We have reached out to DJ Kulet via Instagram DM, but if anyone has more information, kindly get in touch with us immediately.”

The agency also provided a toll-free hotline for anyone with useful information.

“Please use our toll-free hotline: 08000 333 333or send us a direct message through our social media platforms. Every child deserves protection, no matter who they are or where they come from!,” it added.
