NSCDC arrests 6 suspected vandals in FCT

The FCT Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, has arrested six suspected vandals.

This was contained in a statement by the commandโ€™s Public Relations Officer, Monica Ojobi, on Tuesday in Abuja.

Ojobi said that the suspects were arrested by the operatives of the command at different locations in the FCT during the Christmas celebration.

According to her, one of the suspects, a 27-year-old, was arrested around the Life Camp-Kado axis while vandalising armoured cables.

โ€œAnother 28-year-old male was arrested at Yarโ€™Adua expressway, along Airport Road while vandalising solar panel poles and FCMB billboard poles.

โ€œAn 18-year-old male was also arrested at Yarโ€™Adua expressway along Airport Road in possession of vandalised El-Rufai commercial bus body parts,โ€ she said.

Ojobi further stated that three others were arrested with vandalised items comprising street light poles, bulbs, fencing iron hook and nine shovels, among others.

She added that the suspects are undergoing investigation and would be consequently prosecuted according to the provisions of the law.
