Tinubu to Present 2025 Budget to National Assembly on December 17

President Bola Tinubu is set to present the 2025 national budget to the joint session of the National Assembly next Tuesday, December 17.

The announcement was made by Senate President Godswill Akpabio during Thursdayโ€™s plenary session.

Akpabio confirmed that the budget presentation will be held at the chamber of the House of Representatives.

This development follows President Tinubuโ€™s submission of the Medium-Term Expenditure Framework (MTEF) and Fiscal Strategy Paper (FSP) for 2025-2027 to the Senate and House of Representatives last Tuesday.

The Senate Committee on Finance, National Planning, and Economic Affairs has been tasked with reviewing the MTEF/FSP documents and is expected to submit its report within one week.

The MTEF/FSP sets the tone for the 2025 budget, outlining Nigeriaโ€™s fiscal priorities, economic projections, and revenue expectations over the next three years.

With heightened expectations surrounding next weekโ€™s presentation, Nigerians and stakeholders are keen to see how the budget will address pressing issues such as inflation, unemployment, and infrastructure development.

This will mark President Tinubuโ€™s second national budget presentation since assuming office, signaling his administrationโ€™s commitment to transparency and legislative collaboration.
