AMG Foundation Honors Nigerian Frontline Health Workers

The Aminu Magashi Garba (AMG) Foundation recognized the contributions of frontline health workers across Nigeria at its third annual awards ceremony, held at the Africa Health Budget Network (AHBN) office in Abuja.

Speaking at the event, the founder of the AMG Foundation, Dr. Aminu Magashi Garba, stated that the awards aim to encourage healthcare professionals to maintain high standards.

He emphasized the role of community involvement in healthcare delivery and announced plans to expand the awards to more states and categories in the coming years.

Dr. Magashi also revealed plans to introduce a Health Journalists Report Award to recognize journalists covering health-related issues.

The 2024 Abuja Frontline Health Workers Awards honored the following individuals: Muhammad Mustapha Yahya and Zainab Ladan as Most Committed Volunteer Staff, Azie Emenike Emmanuel and Binta M. Ahmed as Most Dedicated Staff, and Mary Gekpa as Most Patient-Friendly Staff.
