Armed forces committed to securing Nigeria – CDS

THE Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa, in an address, reaffirmed the Nigerian Armed Forces’ dedication to eliminating criminal elements responsible for securing breaches across the country.

Speaking to journalists after visiting the military cantonment in Samaru, Zangon Kataf Local Government Area, Kaduna State, General Musa noted that the military had equipped the base with necessary tools to combat insecurity in Southern Kaduna and surrounding areas.

He commended troops for their professionalism and sacrifices, assuring them that their welfare remains a priority and would be improved.

The CDS urged troops to maintain steadfastness, professionalism, and respect for human rights in their operations.

He stressed the importance of collaboration with other security agencies and civilians in ensuring national security.

During the visit, Major General Abdulsalam Abubakar, Commander of Operation Safe Haven and General Officer Commanding 3 Division of the Nigerian Army, encouraged troops to remain relentless in securing their area of operation.

Senator Sunday Marshal, representing Kaduna South, commended the military’s efforts and promised enhanced cooperation between civilians and the armed forces.

Accompanied by senior Defence Headquarters officers, the CDS also paid a courtesy visit to the Chief of Kagoro’s palace, reaffirming the military’s commitment to fostering unity and security in the region.
