Beatrice Ekweremadu, the wife of former Deputy Senate President Senator Ike Ekweremadu, has been released from prison in the United Kingdom.
Her release was confirmed on Wednesday, with reports stating she has since returned to Nigeria.
Both Ekweremadu and his wife were sentenced by a UK court in connection with the organ harvesting case. While Senator Ike Ekweremadu received a ten-year sentence, Beatrice Ekweremadu was handed a six-year prison term.
