Newly-appointed Super Eagles head coach, Eric Chelle, will receive a monthly salary of $50,000, with his assistants earning $5,000 each, according to reports from OwngoalNigeria.
Chelle, 47, is scheduled to arrive in Abuja this weekend to finalize the terms of his contract with the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).
He is expected to sign a two-year deal to lead the Nigerian national team.
The new technical crew will include local coaches Daniel Ogunmodede and Fidelis Ilechukwu, who are set to join Chelle’s team.
Chelle’s first task as head coach will be to prepare the Super Eagles for the 2024 African Nations Championship, set to begin early next month.
The tournament will serve as a test of his leadership and tactical abilities as he begins his tenure with the team.
