The Nigeria Police Force has rescued Mrs Folasade Odumosu, wife of former Assistant Inspector General of Police, Hakeem Odumosu.

Force Public Relations Officer Muyiwa Adejobi announced the development on Thursday morning via his official X handle.

Adejobi revealed that the rescue operation, carried out on Wednesday, resulted in the death of Mrs Odumosu’s abductors and the recovery of ransom money used as bait.

He noted that Inspector General of Police Kayode Egbetokun praised the operatives involved in the operation, along with the Ogun State Commissioner of Police, Lanre Ogunlowo, for their swift and effective response.

“The Nigeria Police Force remains committed to protecting Nigerian citizens and ensuring the safety of our nation,” Adejobi said.

Mrs Odumosu was abducted last Thursday at the entrance of her home in the Arepo area of Ogun State.
