The operatives of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Nasarawa Sector Command, Sunday, rescued some casualties of a solo-road mishap which occurred along Lafia-Makurdi route in the state.
Also, a sum of โฆ2,565,850 was recovered from the scene of the accident by the rescue team.
The accident, which involved a white commercial Peugeot Boxer with registration Akw169Xm, claimed two lives.
It was gathered that the FRSC rescue team, led by DRC AT Uza, arrived at the scene within 15 minutes, and was able to rush the injured to the hospital for medical attention.
According to the Acting Sector Commander of the Command, DCC Jo Bebia, โThe rescue team recovered a substantial amount of cash, totalling โฆ2,565,850, which was handed over to the company manager of EROKA DEPAACOS in Akwanga.โ
DCC Jo Bebia commended the FRSC rescue team for their prompt response, which contributed to the survival of some of the crash victims.
He also appealed to the public to avoid excessive speeding and observe traffic regulations to prevent future occurrences.
