‘Dampyr’, an Italian movie, has claimed the top spot on Netflix’s film chart in Nigeria.

Checks by NewsNGR on Tuesday revealed the top 10 movies on the popular movie streaming platform.

Dampyr’ was produced in 2022 with a budget of $15m. It’s the first film adaptation of the comic book series of the same name, which tells the story of Harlan Draka, a man who discovers he is a “Dampyr” —half-human, half-vampire.

To harness his unique powers, he sets out to defeat supernatural forces wreaking havoc on humanity.

Trailing Dampyr on the chart is ‘Ma’ — a psychological horror movie that delves into obsession and manipulation.

In third place is ‘Umjolo: My Beginning, My End!,’ a romantic comedy that explores the trials and triumphs of modern relationships.

The fourth position is ‘The Six Tripped Eight’, a historical drama released in December 2024.

The movie celebrates the bravery of a group of servicewomen deployed overseas during World War II, and it showcased their contributions and sacrifices in a male-dominated era.

‘Carry On’ and ‘Bad Boys: Ride or Die’ came in at fifth and sixth positions, respectively. The latter reunites Hollywood icons Will Smith and Martin Lawrence in a high-stakes, comedic adventure.

The remaining are a mix of inspiring and entertaining films: Kromoleo, The Wolf and The Lion, and Lisabi: The Uprising, occupying the seventh, eighth, and ninth spots.

‘Lisabi’ portrays the Yoruba heroine who led a rebellion against colonial forces.

‘Disaster Holiday,’ which ranks number 10, is a comedy about a family that embarked on a chaotic yet memorable vacation.
