Jattu Fire Incident: Okpebholo Promises Govt Support for Victims

Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, has vowed to extend unwavering support to the victims of the recent fire disaster in Jattu community, Etsako West Local Government Area.

The tragic blaze, which erupted on the 21st of January, 2025, consumed several shops opposite the main market, leaving goods worth millions of naira in ashes and livelihoods shattered.

Deeply moved by the catastrophe, Governor Okpebholo expressed heartfelt sympathy for the affected individuals and emphasized the government’s commitment to swift action.

He revealed that a collaborative effort is underway with key agencies, including the Fire Service, Emergency Management Agency, and the Local Government Council, to evaluate the extent of the damage and ensure immediate relief for those impacted.

While acknowledging the devastating toll of the fire, Okpebholo remained optimistic, urging residents to remain calm and work hand in hand with the authorities.

He reaffirmed his belief in the resilience of the community and the state, expressing confidence that through unity and shared determination, the challenges posed by the disaster would be surmounted.
